How Painter Works LLC handles the information you share through this website. Effective October 19, 2026.
Who we are
This website, painter.works, is operated by Painter Works LLC, which does business as Painter Publishing Services and publishes books under its imprint. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Painter Works LLC.
What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us:
- Project inquiries. If you use the inquiry form or email us, we receive your name, organization, email address, the type of project, and anything you write about it.
- Contractor applications. If you use the Join our team form, we receive your name, email address, location, portfolio link, skills, experience, availability, and anything you write about your work.
- Newsletter signups. If you sign up for imprint news, we receive your email address.
We don't ask for payment information on this site, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, browser type, and pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. This site also loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google may receive your IP address when a page loads.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and, if we work together, to manage the project.
- To consider contractor applications and contact you about freelance assignments.
- To send imprint news you signed up for. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To keep the site running and secure.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the site, our email, the inquiry form, and the newsletter. Inquiry form and contractor application messages are delivered to us by Web3Forms. Newsletter signups are managed by Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.), which stores your email address and sends our emails on our behalf. They handle your information only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry correspondence for as long as it's useful for the business relationship and our records, and newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or unsubscribe from the newsletter, by writing to us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, and we'll honor them.
Children
This site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the effective date above.
